About WIFF

Women in Food and Farming (WIFF) is a thriving, informal network that brings together women across the agri-food industry to connect, share experiences, and support each other’s professional growth. Our regular events, panels, and discussions feature inspiring leaders from across the sector — from farm to fork.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Volunteer Committee Assistant to support the WIFF committee over the next 12 months. This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their career who’s keen to gain hands-on experience in event organisation, network coordination, and committee administration within a supportive and collaborative environment focused on empowering women in the agricultural and food sector.

You’ll play a key part in helping WIFF continue to grow and deliver engaging sessions and events for our community.

What You’ll Do

  • Help to organise and coordinate WIFF meetings and events, including scheduling, invitations, and follow-up. This will also include reaching out to potential speakers and assisting with logistics.

  • Support the committee with administrative tasks, including meeting notes and communications.

  • Assist with member engagement and marketing, helping to maintain connections across our growing network.

  • Contribute ideas for new initiatives and improvements to the WIFF experience.

What You’ll Gain

  • Valuable committee and event management experience within a respected industry network.

  • Opportunities to connect with senior professionals and thought leaders in food and farming.

  • Insight into how professional networks operate and develop.

  • A chance to make a tangible impact in supporting women across the sector.

  • A supportive environment to build confidence and professional skills.

  • Free access to all events.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A proactive, organised, and friendly individual with good communication skills.

  • Someone with an interest in the food, farming, or agri-business sectors.

  • Comfortable managing small tasks independently and contributing ideas in a team setting.

  • Ideally early in their career and looking to gain experience and expand their network.

How to Apply

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Please send a short cover note (max 300 words) outlining why you’d like to volunteer with WIFF and what you’d bring to the role to womeninfoodandfarming@gmail.com by 30th November 2025.
