New Job role: Non-Executive Director Role at Cornish Mutual

Cornish Mutual, a longstanding and respected insurer dedicated to farming and rural communities in the South West, is seeking a new Non-Executive Director to join its Board.

The successful candidate will have deep roots in the agricultural sector, preferably within Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, or Dorset.

This role requires someone who can credibly represent Cornish Mutual at farming events, bring strong commercial acumen, and share their experience and judgement to help guide the organisation’s strategic direction.

The Board is looking for someone who believes in the values of mutuality — where success is measured not only by profit but by the positive impact on members and communities. Prior Board experience is helpful but not essential; more important is a genuine connection to farming, sound business understanding, and a collaborative mindset.

The role involves around 24 days per year, with an annual fee of £24,185 plus expenses. To learn more or to apply, contact Edward Wild or Amy Wevill at Wild Search on 0207 233 2230 or email cm@wildsearch.org. The deadline for applications is 30 May.
